Brit Tate

Originally from Ilkley, Brit is an enthusiastic and motivated individual. In 2013 she studied at Active Health in Manchester obtaining Advanced Diplomas in Sports Therapy, Sports and Remedial Massage, and Myofascial Release. Brit worked at the Ilkley Osteopathic Practice as a Sports Therapist for just under 3 years before pursuing a career in Osteopathy to complete her Master’s degree in Osteopathy at The British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. Her recent graduation means Brit has a relevant and up to date knowledge in musculoskeletal care and osteopathic treatment.

Brits passion for Manual Therapy is derived from the injuries she picked up as competitive athlete. Brit is current three-time National Age Group Triathlon Champion and has podiumed at multiple World and European Triathlon Championships over the past 3 years. This helps develop Brits special interest in treating sports injuries. During her time working as a Sports Therapist Brit has experience working with elite athletes including the New Zealand and Australian World Cup Rugby Teams during the Rugby World Cup 2015, the England Rugby Team during the 6 Nations 2018 and various NFL teams. Brit has also treated international standard triathletes and national level cyclists.

Alongside athletes, Brit is keen to treat a wide variety of patients and a wide range of ages. Brit believes in assessing an individual with a whole-body approach and using a unique combination of skills and approaches that are tailored for each individual. These may include individualised naturopathic advice and home-care advice, tailored exercises, kinesiology taping, cranial techniques and acupuncture. Brit enjoys getting to know her patients to aid their return to health.
