What is Heel Pain?

Heel pain can be both frustrating and debilitating, making everyday activities – like walking, exercising, or even getting out of bed in the morning – difficult. There are a variety of causes of heel pain including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinosis, heel spurs, and stress fractures. It can also be a symptom of underlying conditions such as arthritis or nerve damage.

At the Good Health Centre, we use a combination of advanced treatments and targeted exercises to address heel pain. We start with a thorough assessment, asking about your medical history and your symptoms, and then develop a personalised treatment plan. Treatment may include a combination of muscle lengthening, stretching and strengthening, joint mobilisation and manipulation, or fluid drainage techniques designed to reduce swelling and improve mobility and flexibility. We also leverage shockwave therapy to accelerate the healing process – considered the gold standard for tendon and ligament issues, common causes of heal pain. We’re here to help restore proper foot function, reduce pain, and get you moving comfortably again.
