Pelvic health – Pelvic pain and bladder dysfunction
We offer pelvic health assessments and treatment plans for women experiencing ongoing and persistent pelvic pain or bladder dysfunction.
Treatments and techniques will vary depending on the patient and the underlying condition but there are several common forms of therapy which include:
- Manual therapy including joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release techniques: Helps relieve pain and stiffness while improving flexibility and function of the pelvic area
 - Relaxation training: Techniques to relax the pelvic floor can help reduce persistent discomfort and pain
 - Strengthening exercises: Targeted exercises can help rebuild strength to create better pelvic support
 - Behavioural interventions: Reviewing and modifying daily habits including fluid intake, caffeine consumption, and postures when sitting can lessen the symptoms associated with pelvic pain
