M.Ost with Distinction in Osteopathic Medicine 2020-2024 | i TEC – Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Massage 2023 | GOsC no. 11576

Ben earned a Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine with distinction from Plymouth Marjon University, where he gained experience treating a variety of challenging health issues. Whether acute or chronic, each person’s experience of pain is unique. By taking an individualised approach, Ben believes osteopathy is a fantastic way to assess, diagnose and holistically treat a patient’s specific condition. Ben works closely with each patient to implement a treatment and rehab plan that meets their needs.

Ben’s journey to becoming an osteopath began when living in Hong Kong where he was introduced to Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches to manual therapy. He returned to the UK inspired to learn more about an evidence-based practice to help others.

As a practitioner, he takes a keen interest in continually developing his osteopathic skills and staying up to date with the latest scientific research on musculoskeletal health and neuroscience. He has a personal interest in spinal health, biomechanics and the effects of stress on the body. Pain can trigger fear-avoidance behaviours that hinder recovery, but by applying manual techniques we can desensitise painful tissues and help the body respond appropriately.

Movement and fitness are a big part of his life, so in his free time, you can often find him at the gym, in a yoga studio, or practising martial arts.
