Harriet Thompson
Reflexologist & Indian Head Massage Therapist
Specialisms:
Harriet Thompson (née Morgan) has been a bodywork practitioner for nearly two decades. She attained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Sunderland in 1997 before beginning training in bodywork in 2002.
As a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist in the sporting and entertainment industry, she has worked extensively with artistic athletes, including performers from Northern Ballet. With a deep understanding of sports injuries, Harriet uses massage to enhance performance and support rehabilitation. She is particularly interested in movement, alignment, and positioning, focusing not only on areas of tension but also on their underlying sources.
During pregnancy, Harriet’s approach helps make the body more comfortable as it adapts to change. She often integrates reflexology techniques to calm the nervous system and support processes that massage alone cannot reach. Fascinated by the uniqueness and similarities of every body, she values how bodywork can profoundly influence both physical and psychological well-being.
Outside her practice, Harriet enjoys yoga (which she also teaches), weight training, and aqua aerobics – activities that deepen her appreciation for the power of movement. Variety, she believes, truly is the spice of life.
