Osteopath

Specialisms:

Marjorie is a GOsC-registered osteopath and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. Born and raised in London, she studied Masters in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy before beginning her career in private practice in London. After a couple of years of working with patients across London, she moved to York with her family to raise her daughter and enjoy a different pace of life in Yorkshire.

She is passionate about helping people feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies, with a particular interest in both acute and chronic pain. Her approach focuses not only on reducing pain, but on understanding how it is affecting each individual and, importantly, what their symptoms may be stopping them from doing.

Whether a patient wants to return to exercise or sport, get back to work, enjoy their hobbies, keep up with their family, or simply move through everyday life more comfortably, she enjoys working with them towards their individual goals.

She believes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to osteopathy. Every patient has different needs, goals and circumstances, so she takes an individualised approach to treatment, adapting her care and advice to what is most appropriate, comfortable and realistic for each person. She aims to work collaboratively with her patients, helping them understand their symptoms and giving them the confidence and tools to take an active role in their recovery.

Outside of the clinic, Marjorie enjoys keeping active herself. She has a particular passion for marathon training and strength training, as well as spending time outdoors hiking and enjoying time with her family.
