Michelle Thersby
Senior Physiotherapist
Michelle is an experienced physiotherapist with a broad background in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and pain management. She takes the time to understand each individual and the wider factors that may be influencing their pain, health and recovery.
Her approach is holistic and person-centred, combining hands-on physiotherapy with movement and exercise, education, dry needling and lifestyle advice. She aims to help patients better understand their bodies, rebuild confidence in movement and return to the activities that are important to them.
Alongside her physiotherapy practice, Michelle is a qualified yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, Ayurvedic therapist and Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner. These additional areas of expertise complement her physiotherapy skills and enable her to consider a range of factors, including movement, sleep, stress, nutrition and overall wellbeing, when supporting patients.
Michelle has a particular interest in persistent pain and takes a whole-person approach, recognising the important relationship between physical health, mental health, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle and the nervous system. She is passionate about helping individuals develop practical strategies to manage their health, improve their confidence and support long-term recovery.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys yoga, walking and spending time outdoors with her family and dogs.
