About Harriet
Harriet Thompson née Morgan has been a bodywork practitioner for almost two decades. As a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within the sporting and entertainment industry she has experience of working with artistic athletes at Northern Ballet.
Harriet has an acute understanding of sports injuries and how massage can aid performance & rehabilitation which she also passes on in her teaching.
Movement, alignment and positioning are of particular interest with her approach not only focusing on tightnesses in the body but where they may be referred from. This is particularly important during Pregnancy to assist with making the body more comfortable when experiencing changes. Reflexology techniques are then applied to calm the system and aid processes that cannot be reached through Massage.
She is fascinated by how different yet similar our bodies are and how bodywork can have such a huge impact on both our physical and psychological state.
In her spare time Harriet enjoys yoga (which she also teaches), weight training and aqua aerobics which allow her to appreciate how movement makes us feel. Variety is the spice of life after all!
